Converse Has Collabed With Another Influential Streetwear Brand To Make the Ultimate Chuck
Converse and Hiroshi Fujiwara of fragment design have just whipped out a new special edition sneaker pack that elevates the legendary Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette. The new Converse x fragment design Chuck Taylor All Star SE collection fuses the DNA of the two highly influential streetwear brands — creating a premium sneaker for everyday wear.
Past collaborators for several seasons, Converse and fragment design lend each other’s respective design ethos on the world’s most recognizable sneaker, the Chuck Taylor.
With the Converse x fragment design Chuck Taylor All Star SE, the two brands build on the foundation of the original All Star silhouette. The result is a collection that has all the familiar features of the classic sneaker, but with reduced weight and comfort (which isn’t reduced).
The Converse x fragment design Chuck Taylor All Star SE features a fleece fabric upper for increased protection and support over extended periods of wear. The addition of a co-branded Nike Lunarlon sock liner also serves to provide comfort and cushioning for the wearer. The sneakers retain the regular Chuck Taylor All Star detailing, including the classic All Star patch, along with the minimal fragment design branding along the heel stay and midsole. Hiroshi’s signature interior fragment design label is also visible externally on the left shoe through ghost stitch detailing.
Available in both a high and low top offering, the new collection will launch on Friday, May 19 2017 at Converse Sylvia Park and Loaded- High Street & Newmarket, Auckland, RRP $140.
